When someone is accusing someone else of pedophilia over a kink, and I go and say “hey that is NOT pedophilia and what you are accusing of is extremely serious” and then what you ask me is “so are you pro-that-kink”? How else am I going to take it other than “so you are pro-pedophilia”?

I’m actually really glad you said this because god damn some people are really weird about kinks and it pisses me off =/

Kink shaming is a really shitty thing to do and it fundamentally goes against the principles of fat queer radical liberation that we promote and spread here. 

As long as a kink happens between two consenting adults and doesn’t hurt or affect anyone else, everyone else should shut the fuck up about it. 
And hurting or affect someone else would be if a person with a ddlg fetish brought it to a person knowingly that they are triggered by it because of sexual abuse during childhood. Or invaded someone personal space bringing it there even if they don’t know how they feel about it.

But this person has their fetish in their personal life and limited to their blog. They never brought it here. It was actually this other person invading their private space, digging in their blog, to bring up that they have a fetish they don’t like.

So the subplot of Holes is that Kate Barlow deals with the politically-sanctioned execution of her black boyfriend—who unlawfully kissed a white woman who was in love with him!!!—by becoming a serial killer who targets racist/sexist white dudes who harassed her, were rejected, then went after her boyfriend as revenge from the depths of the “friend zone”.

And the technical writing of Holes is perfect. Like, it’s one of the most technically-perfect books ever written. Basically any plotting or pacing or characterization issue you’re having, read Holes and really study how Sachar did it. THE LIZARDS! THE LIZARDS.

consider if asking “how would you like to be addressed?” is appropriate (a health clinic i know uses it, but certainly a workplace environment might vary, and yes particularly an interview one) as it also gives a chance to specify preferred names/nicknames (also good for many international students), titles (good in the kink scene), etc

please emphasize the confidentiality and safety aspects rather than Politeness and Better To Guess

please at least drop a line about out exobinary people with nonstandard pronouns (especially other than singular they) existing and how hard it can be to Bring Up pronouns and deal with Explanations of why we weren’t asked and how now it’ll take Adjusting since it wasn’t from the get-go and….
